A global online learning programme
Inside the Circular Economy: Africa is an interactive learning programme focused on the circular economy in Africa, which will be held online over six weeks. We aim to inspire circular economy enthusiasts across the African continent to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
The six-week online programme is open to anyone based in Africa who would like to learn more about the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature..
Inside the Circular Economy: Africa is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to bring greater purpose to their work or research and want to become circular economy advocates and catalysts on the African continent.
Participants will explore the concepts, principles, and practical applications of the circular economy through:
Webinars led by the Foundation’s experts and guest speakers from Africa and beyond
Peer-to-peer learning
Networking sessions
Access to resources
The opportunity to join a community of circular economy enthusiasts on the African continent
Every week, we discuss a different aspect of the circular economy, looking at Africa-specific examples. Topics will include food systems, cities, design, plastics, and fashion.
This programme has now finished. Please subscribe to our newsletter for updates on upcoming learning resources and programmes.
Participants can choose how much time they dedicate to the programme, between an estimated 1 - 3 hours a week.

Those selected for this workshop will join us live 11th-15th October 2022. This will be fully funded, however participants will need to pay for their own travel.
