Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to our Executive Lead, North America, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
In partnership with the Executive Lead – North America, set and achieve network development targets aligned to EMF 2025 strategy
Define and execute pursuit strategies for US targets, in partnership with domestic and international team members as necessary
Support the Executive Lead – North America and UK-based Network Lead in establishing a vision for network development through 2030
Identify, shape and pitch high-impact project, learning and communications opportunities
Work with international Network Activation, Learning, SI and ICG teams to support integrated network development across the Foundation
Interpret ‘network intelligence’ relating to trends in market, commercial value propositions evolution and emerging development opportunities and translate these into internal strategy and operational plans
Conduct due diligence in accordance with existing Foundation policy for all potential relationships
Represent the Foundation in external partner events and public forums
7+ years of experience in business development or equivalent roles.
4+ years of experience presenting or pitching to Director-level audiences in corporate settings or equivalent.
A demonstrated track record of delivering against sales / growth targets.
Experience of setting or influencing organisation-level network development strategy.
A high level of commercial acumen and familiarity with business model development, commercial and contracting processes.
A network of commercial and sustainability contacts in large / multi-national companies and/or start-up ecosystems, ideally in sectors aligned to EMF program areas.
You must be eligible to work in the USA.
A track record of working in areas relevant to a circular economy
An understanding of the public circular economy discourse and competitive landscape
A background in one or more areas of Foundation work such as plastic, fashion, food, finance, packing, innovation or design, higher-education, or communications
Pre-existing familiarity of circular economy principles and practice
Work experience in Canada and/or Mexico
Experience at working with an overseas head office

Salary $100,000 - $130,000 dependent on experience and location
