Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a project manager with experience in the corporate and/or not-for-profit sector to join one of the Foundation’s major initiative teams to accelerate progress towards a circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature.. Reporting to the Programme Manager you will work collaboratively across the Foundation engaging a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and with leading global organisations in our network and beyond.
As an experienced Project Manager, you will have a proven track record of independently leading and delivering high-quality projects from start to finish, preferably with a strong focus on sustainability/circular economy initiatives.
Specific role responsibilities include:
Delivery of a key project within our global portfolio of work. Developing an approach aligned with our strategy, creating a plan, tracking progress, managing risks and ensuring timely delivery.
Utilising research, analysis and synthesis skills to develop forward-looking industry insights.
Collaborating with other members of the team and providing line management support to more junior members of the team where applicable.
Managing and developing relationships working with a wide range of stakeholders ranging from companies, policymakers, NGOs, designers, schools and federations to drive progress towards a circular economy.
Representing the Foundation at international meetings and events, with regular domestic and international travel to events and to engage local stakeholders.
Providing strategic input to the Programme Manager to support the development of the broader programme strategy.
Your profile
Project manager with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience at a senior level. Recent management or strategy consulting experience would be beneficial.
An academic degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, science or political science.
Demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects to deliver successful outcomes and meet time-critical milestones, including project planning and effective prioritisation to deliver on an outcome basis.
Logical, methodical and detail-oriented approach to managing quantitative and qualitative datasets. Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems and extract key insights from data.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; evidence of having written engaging documents and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation contributing proactively to problem solving in meetings and workshops.
Evidence of recent experience working with and engaging a diverse set of stakeholders. The ability to interact effectively with individuals at various management levels across a variety of organisations.
Relevant experience in or knowledge of the circular economy and the fashion sector is a definite plus.
An entrepreneurial approach comfortable with ambiguity and change management.

Closing date: 27th January 2023
Salary range: £44,000 - £50,000 per annum depending upon experience.

Location: UK based with regular attendance at our office in Cowes, Isle of Wight (subject to individual circumstances). Some international travel may be required.
Relocation support: We offer support with relocation from overseas, such as: helping to source accommodation, travel expenses to the UK (dependent on circumstances and eligibility). Many colleagues will have faced the same challenges as you (including relocating pets!) and we will be happy to assist you in this transition.
