The research group focuses on developing circular business together with companies. At the forefront in the future is to find new solutions for moving from owning products to producing services and a sharing economy. In addition, the research group focuses on developing the teaching of circular economy in extensive national and international networks. The expertise of the research group springs up from the synthesis of e.g. business development, sustainable development, environmental technology, service design, communications and pedagogic competence.
At the centre of the operations is the Circular Economy 2.0 project learning environment, through which studies are offered for higher education students of all fields. Circular Economy 2.0 carries out experiments by companies and students and joint development projects. The commissions come from companies or RDI projects, and on a case-by-case basis, appropriate multidisciplinary student teams, experts and methods are tailored for them. The experiments can include e.g. innovation events, clarifications or long-term projects and theses.
