The Colombian Pact for Plastics Colombia brings together resin companies, packaging companies, producers, marketers, plastics processors, governments, academia, representatives of the economic sectors and NGOs in a collaborative platform to accelerate the transition towards the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. by contributing on effective compliance of legal and corporate objectives around plastics.
All entities, with legal representation in Colombia, can join the Pact as members or allies. Currently, the Pact is made up of 10 member companies and 12 allied organizations. Members invest jointly and work collaboratively with allies to provide information, tools and implement business programs and projects that contribute to the development of responsible production and consumption of plastic packaging materials.
