Our Network evolved from a group of four founding partners, who were the companies that supported Ellen MacArthur during her record-breaking sailing career. From this small original group, in just over a decade, we have convened the world’s leading circular economy network.
The Network’s tiered structure of Strategic Partners, Partners and Members is informed by factors such as organisational size, influence, ambition level, and involvement with our key focus areas.
Strategic Partners
Some of the leading companies in key industries and three of the world’s largest cities. We work closely with this group to support them in becoming circular pioneers, with the potential to set the direction in their respective sectors. The Strategic Partner group also contains our main philanthropic funders.
Strategic Partners
Partners
Highly influential organisations that publicly endorse the circular economy. Our Partners play a leading role in one or more of the Foundation’s key action areas.
Partners

Dragon Rouge

Infosys

Pernod Ricard

SAP
Members
Organisations with significant reach, staff size, and scale of operations with a high-level of internal buy-in. Through their staff, example setting, and supplier networks, Member organisations have great potential to influence the transition.
Members
Our wider Network group: the community
Those who want to signal their commitment to the circular economy and connect with other circular economy professionals can join our open community.
This group comprises more than a thousand organisations, from start-ups to large established companies, together constituting a diverse and open community for knowledge sharing and collaboration. This part of the network is connected through the digital Community Platform, allowing the entire Network to connect, learn, and propose projects directly.
