We are delighted to announce that we will be running our Africa-focused learning programme, Inside the Circular Economy: Africa, this spring.
The programme — which is open to anyone living, working, or studying on the African continent — proved hugely popular when it was launched last year, with more than 1,000 people registering to take part.
The six-week programme will take place online, from 18th April to 27th May 2022, and is open to anyone based in Africa who would like to learn more about the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature..
It includes weekly webinars led by the Foundation’s experts, with guest speakers from Africa and beyond, plus networking sessions and a lively community platform. It is an interactive programme, with peer-to-peer learning as a key element — and the opportunity to join a community of circular economy enthusiasts in Africa.
Every week, we will discuss a different topic focused on the circular economy in Africa, ranging from food systems, policy, and design, to finance, plastics, and fashion.
We will be exploring some new topics with different guests this time — so if you took part in the programme last year, you are more than welcome to join us again. You will certainly broaden your circular economy knowledge and meet new people!
Inside the Circular Economy: Africa offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to bring greater purpose to their work or research and become a circular economy advocate and catalyst on the African continent — helping to accelerate the global transition to a circular economy.
