A circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature., characterised by a smarter use of materials, energy and information, will prioritise access over ownership of products. These are called product service systems, or sometimes 'performance contracts', and they could mean that customers can ride the wave of constant innovation at a lower cost than outright ownership.
