Faced with food and energy crises that threaten to derail progress towards sustainable development, policymakers, businesses, and think tanks came together at this COP27 event to discuss strategies to accelerate the global transition to a circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature.. The event was organised by PAGE, a one-UN initiative bringing together 5 UN agencies (UNEP, ILO, UNDP, UNIDO, UNITAR) together with UNESCWA, UNECE and UN-OHRLLS. It was moderated by our Climate Lead, Miranda Schnitger and includes perspectives from governments, the youth and employers.
