How can we learn from the exposures of the Covid-19 crisis and rethink more resilient and diverse supply chains? In this episode, we will be discussing how we can redesign our food system based on the principles of the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. enabling it to actively contribute to the regeneration of natural systems and to a thriving economy. We will draw upon some of the actions being taken around the world, including a deep dive on China.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation works to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. We develop and promote the idea of a circular economy, and work with business, academia, policymakers, and institutions to mobilise systems solutions at scale, globally.
