Delivery of awareness raising and education campaigns: May 27, 2020, an International Forum on “Circular Economy” was held, organized with the National Association of Plastic Industries, ideas were exchanged for the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste.

August 20, 2020, the virtual Forum "Community Circular Economy" was held with the participation of the Cristina Cortinas, A.C. Foundation.

In February 2021, the "Future in waste management" environmental forum was held. These forums promote the circular economy.

Establishment or revision of legal measures, including bans or restriction on specific categories of plastic packaging and/or products considered problematic or unnecessary: With the incorporation in 2022, of the new municipal administrations of the state, commitments will be sought to establish the provisions in accordance with the State Environmental Technical Standard NTEA-010- SMA-RS2008, for the installation, operation and maintenance of infrastructure for the collection, transfer, separation, treatment and final disposal of urban solid waste and special handling, and will be duly established in their municipal proclaim and

Municipal Organic Law 2019.

Establishment or revision of economic incentives (e.g. subsidies, funding schemes to encourage innovation and research into alternative materials or designs) or disincentives (e.g. tax, charges): The proposal has been made to implement a waste management tax for operators of hazardous waste management facilities and operators of sanitary landfills or integral waste centers, the tax would be based on the number of tons received; As well as a tax for the service of collection, transfer and final disposal of waste of special handling, which are in the authorization process.

Provide more details about the selected actions - Delivery of awareness raising and education campaigns: It is planned to continue with bimonthly meetings with the municipalities of the State of Mexico, including the new municipal administrations that will begin their functions in 2022, where issues related to comprehensive waste management will be followed up.

Establishment or revision of Extended Producer Responsibility schemes: Through the agreement of signing covenants with the National Association of the Personal Care and Home Products Industry A.C.; the National Association of Plastic Industries, AC, and the Association of Bars and Restaurants of the State of Mexico (ASBAR), the latter aims to promote programs to inhibit the use of plastic bags, plastic straws, plastic rings and plastic utensils of single use non-biodegradable or expanded polystyrene in food and beverage establishments.

Delivery of awareness raising and education campaigns: Meetings and forums are held every two months with the municipalities of the State of Mexico, where issues related to comprehensive waste management are monitored.
