The guidelines, as set out by over 80 denim experts, establish the minimum requirements for the durabilitydurabilityThe ability of a product, component or material to remain functional and relevant when used as intended., material health, recyclabilityrecyclabilityThe ease with which a material can be recycled in practice and at scale., and traceability of denim jeans. To date, over sixty leading brands, manufacturers, and fabric mills are using the Jeans Redesign Guidelines to produce jeans that will be available on the market by May 2021.
