At Summit 21, held on 8th June 2021, our panel of speakers explored how collaboration between government and industry can help tackle our biggest global challenges, while creating resilience and wellbeing.
Exploring the theme of transformation, panelists discussed what it would take to transform our throwaway economy into one where waste is eliminated, materials are circulated, and nature is regenerated. There were three sessions: 'Fix the economy, fix the climate', 'Growth in a circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature.', and 'Shifting the system'.
