An ambitious group of organisations from across the fashion industry worked to change the way clothing is designed and made. Through The Jeans Redesign, they found solutions to put the circular economycircular economyA systems solution framework that tackles global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. It is based on three principles, driven by design: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value), and regenerate nature. into action and create a world where clothes are kept in use.
The project grew to include 100 participants from across the value chain, including brands, retailers, garment manufacturers, and fabric mills. Participants were based in more than 25 countries across five continents.
