Episode 1: Growing Food for Nature to Thrive
Find out what circular design for food is and why it's relevant
‘Circular design for food: rethinking products to regenerate nature’ is a five-episode documentary series with case studies of companies from Brazil and Colombia that decided to become nature positive by rethinking their products and/or supply chains.
The series is based on the report The Big Food Redesign, which was published by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2021. The report examined the challenges of today's food system and the power that food and beverage companies and retailers have to create a new system that helps nature thrive.
This series demonstrates the importance of circular design for food in Latin America. The stories include companies that are creating and marketing products that support biodiversity and local biomes, help preserve forests, and contribute to the quality of life of farmers and traditional communities.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation works to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. We develop and promote the idea of a circular economy, and work with business, academia, policymakers, and institutions to mobilise systems solutions at scale, globally.
